This bayonet was cut down to 8" and shaped into a fighting knife.  It is a Wilkinson dated 11/1917. The wooden grip is stamped Australia.  Original scabbard was cut to match the length of the blade.  Bayonet still has the catch and barrel hole.  This was bought from the estate of a soldier who served and carried it in the Pacific theater. No name was given for the owner.  Pretty cool piece!
